Development of PixelOS

PixelOS was developed out of need to deliver a superior pixel streaming solution to users and developers of GPU accelerated applications in the web. PixelOS initially began as internal tool to support our sister team at GenXP but we later realized that many companies and communities could benefit from our technology. PixelOS is actively contributing to Open Source initiatives such as releasing our Wine builds for Debian based distros, our WebRTC build tools, our contributions to the Linux kernel and so much more.

Meet the PixelOS Creator

Vince McMullin BSc., MSc.

Software Architect, CEO

I’ve been developing software for most of my life. I’m an avid software engineer and have spent decades developing systems for 3D, desktop, and enterprise applications. As early as the 1990s, I’ve been thinking about the future of thin clients and how I could provide anyone in the world with immediate access to high performance computing. My professional experiences, passion, and understanding of the current state of pixel streaming technologies has compelled me to create PixelOS. I truly believe the next version of the internet requires PixelOS to provide ease of use and accessibility that modern users demand. My pledge to the PixelOS community is to deliver the best possible pixel streaming experience. PixelOS will always remain true to the Open Source community and give back wherever it can. PixelOS was developed on the backs of giants in the technology world and to name a few that I would like to personally thank including the developers at CoreWeave, Wine, Debian, Linux Kernel Foundation, NVIDIA, Microsoft, Google, and Epic Games.
